thanks, will try that may be...

They never make shock themselves, it is always OEM product, so it could be made by Showa, Kayaba or any small company they hired for it....
Honda usually have all from Showa (sometimes cross bikes come with Kayaba)....the problem is - it almost never marked when it is "simple" shock like DR have :(

Do you mean this Brand ?

I hope not to find it anywhere too because it s*cks just like the OEM stock shock absorber of a DR800. Get rid of it and ask santa a good one like this one:

Nope. In my opinion the OEM 750 spring s*ks even more.
But the question from the bluesbrother was about the 800 spring so i mentioned only that spring.

So , did you get that nice ohlins spring from the Sint? [or Iwan, the great]

Or is the house still a big pain in the ass? [ wel that 250 is quit small so there might be some less pain there  ]

Iwan updated his SR43 with a suchs a spring from a other brand and he was very happy with that choice. You can adjust your spring to every type of duty.

Offroad/Tarmac/Passanger/Extra holiday sh*t, you name it and just some extra / or less "clicks" and you`re off.

OK, OK....here is secret.

Spring might suck, but shock itself actually is not bad at all. It's just right for my weight.
But. I do loooooong trips with wife and luggage.
And I need preload adjustment. And not that f...ing spinning ring, so that I have to go upside down under bike for like 30 minutes to wind it up or back down every time.
So I want hydraulic preload adjuster.
You want to know which other bike shock fits? Ask me. By now I got info on almost ALL of them. And no luck. Unless you find BMW R1150GS Adventure shock. This one fits on lenght and stroke and it does have preload adjustment. Hydraulic.

Instead I want to buy this

http://www.mxsouth.com/mergeracing/merg ... reload.htm

I do have Wilbers on my VTR (full adjustable, separate low and fast comression) and I like it. A lot. I had Ohlins on my previous bike (put it on bike myself). I liked it, but in real life it was worse than Wilbers. Too expensive, too expensive to rebuild, too sporty.\
I do not like WP and I find it unreliable in long run (my personal experience and opinion based on KTM and BMW Adventures I saw).
But there is NO WAY I am going to spend 800 euro for shock absorber on DR. I better spend 200 euros on another offroad riding course to improve my riding.
But spending 220 USD for preload adjuster - that I can do ;)

Or read tread about airbox.... there is always nice stock shocks on market with piggy back.

Zappa, Ohlins on your photo will not fit DR unless you get rid of airbox completely
