Colleagues,

As you read probably before I am in process of some upgrade installing WP Extreme 50mm forks on my DR. All working out fine but I seem to have made big mistake with brakes.

I managed to buy for very reasonable price (150 euro) and worked on installing on those WP Extreme forks Braking 4-pot supermoto caliper. The thing is really powerful, It have 2 pistons 36 mm + 2 pistons 34 mm if I am not wrong. Mountin holes distance 100 mm. Originally designed for 320 mm disk, but fits DR 300 mm disk just fine with stock forks or (I guess) forks that have 100mm mounting holes. Good enough to stop tank. Clears spokes on any spoked wheels no problem.

I am ashamed to admit that after 3 days in garage I gave up on idea of installing it on my new WP Extreme forks. It just do not fit in good way, the adaptor will be impossible to make unless you got CNC milling machine that can work on seriously strong metals - aluminium is out of question. Just because of those forks, on stock DR forks it fits with simple adaptor no problem.

So, if anybody interested - PM me. I will charge euro to euro what I paid, it was not as much as usual price those calipers go at. I really do not want to make profit on it, just get back what I spent and get it to somebody who really needs it.

Pity I had to give up on that modification, but at the end of the day Beringer is not that bad either. Just my pocket and my pride suffered a bit....

I am only mentioning it here if any fellow DR owners searching for brakes upgrade and do not want to spend fortune on caliper. Apologies if I am wrong to do so. I will post it on 2 other DR forums I member of too.
The only mod I did to caliper - took about 2 mm of metal from one of mouning "beams" of that big triangle with lower mounting hole as I tried to make it fit WP forks.
