Colleagues,
After looking into some details of Marlboro Dakar bike I decided to completely differently approach airfilter system and change it to what they did.
Therefore I am going to sell airfilters I bought for "previous version" of modification.
Since some of fellow DRers might need them - I offer them here before putting it on eBay. If somebody need them - I will ask exactly same I paid myself. 70 Euro it costed me with delivery to Belgium. For 2 filters together.
Since new they cost MUCH more (like 200+ euros).
Those are not one-time filters, they are wash-and reoil type.
This is BMC racing filters for Suzuki GSXR750.
Distance between centers of holes are 80mm, diameter I think 60 mm but I can check. If you want them - let me know, because I will stick them for auction of eBay if nobody need them but do not want fellow DRs to pay more. Condition - excellent, almost new.
Airfilters for modding Big - if you need them
Moderators: ghulst, DR-Big, zappa.suzuki
Nice, but i already got a foam filter ready for assemblage.
But im intrested in your new plans, please let us know

Yep, I hope I can pull plan off
One advantage of that solution (and previous one) I can make mods to filter box to allow installation of piggyback shock absorber. Why - because piggybacks with 70 mm stroke (like DR shock) from good offroad bikes are easily and cheaply available on eBay, but ones with remote reservoir on hose are very expensive, not easy to find and out of my price range.
So I want to do this - see photo

working on it. I must say that Ad (Adje on this site?) was incredible help for me - he made parts for me with great precision and quality, so it partially his work too
Forks are on the bike, but since I want to get all pieces ready and mock-up first it still on bike lift
In short - set of DR wheels with offroad tires adapted (bearings) to fit Husaberg WP Extreme 50 mm all adjustable conventional forks + re-lacing second set of DR hubs adapted to Berg forks to 17 inch wide supermoto rims (for asphalt) + Braking 4-pot caliper + Suzuki GSXR (I hope) brake master cilynder - that must be ready as soon as I only can. Plan to go to Norway again this year
If I will manage to ask my wife for her camera I will take some photos on weekend
